As travel agents, my husband Victor and I recently had the opportunity to cruise on the Seabourn Quest, and we’re excited to share our experience with you. The Seabourn Quest is one of the smaller ships in the Seabourn fleet, with a capacity of up to 458 passengers and a crew-to-guest ratio of nearly 1:1. This intimate setting allowed for a more personalized service throughout the cruise.

The 11-night itinerary of the Adriatic Empires and Malta cruise provided ample time for us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. We were able to dine in most of the ship’s restaurants, attend various events and shows, and still have time to explore the beautiful destinations along the way. The longer duration compared to a typical 7-night cruise gave us a more relaxed and fulfilling experience.

When it comes to the size and amenities of the Seabourn Quest, there are some notable differences compared to the newer Seabourn Encore. While the Encore boasts a sushi restaurant that we love, it was not available on the Quest. Additionally, the Retreat, a popular feature on the Encore, was also not present on the Quest. However, the Seabourn Quest has a more intimate feel, which we found to be a positive aspect of our experience.

One of the standout features of the Seabourn Quest is the wide range of dining options. From the main dining room to the Grill, a steakhouse helmed by Michelin-starred chef Thomas Keller, there was no shortage of culinary delights. We also enjoyed the various events, such as the sail-away party, Baby Back Ribs, and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Night, which added to the overall atmosphere of the cruise. It’s worth noting that tips are included in the cruise fare, but you can always provide additional gratuities for exceptional service.

While the Seabourn Quest offers a luxurious and all-inclusive experience, there are some exclusions to be aware of, such as spa services, excursions, the casino, shopping, and Wi-Fi. However, these are common in the ultra-luxury cruise segment and can be easily planned for.

During our previous cruise on the Seabourn Encore, we had the opportunity to experience the Veranda Suite, which we loved. However, the Penthouse Suite on the Seabourn Quest provided us with a more spacious and comfortable living area, allowing us to truly feel at home rather than just on a ship. The additional space and amenities made our experience even more enjoyable.

As for the ports of call, we were able to explore the Adriatic Empires, including destinations like Malta and Sicily. These destinations offered a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, and we can’t wait to share more about our experiences in a future video and blog post.

The Seabourn Quest caters to a demographic of couples, distinguished guests, and retirees who are seeking a luxurious and personalized cruise experience. However, solo travelers can also enjoy the Seabourn experience, as the cruise line sometimes offers promotions for solo passengers.
